Natural Help for Impotence

If you are impotent and you don’t want to go out and get a prescription for Viagra, here are some natural things that you can do in order to help with curing your impotence.

  • Lower the amount of fat you take in. You shouldn’t take any more than 60 grams a day. it’s a good idea to stay away from the foods that are processed, the fast food, and the desserts.
  • Watch your cholesterol, because this clogs arteries and therefore you’re going to find less blood flowing to the nether region.  Keep away from the foods that are animal products and red meat.
  • Exercising is a good idea. It will make you look and feel good and it’s going to help you with that impotence problem.  Find something that you enjoy doing that is going to help you exercise and make it fun.
  • Eat a breakfast in the mooning and make sure that it’s healthy. You should also check and make sure you’re getting the nutrients, minerals and vitamins that your body needs.
  • Eat a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits. Stay away from the canned stuff, because that has a lot of things in it that you don’t want or need in your body.
  • Take in Vitamin A, because this is something that’s been linked to impotence in certain men.
  • Watch your caffeine, since this is something that’s a stimulant and is known to be causing stress. Watch your chocolate, your coffee, and your soda.
  • Get enough sleep because when you are tired nothing wants to work right. You should have a minimum of 8 hours each night.

These are some of the things that you can do naturally to help with your impotence problem.  When you are doing these things, you’ll find that your sex life is better and that you are enjoying your time with your partner much more.

Erectile Dysfunction Prevention

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure or so the saying goes. It may sound trite but there is something to it. Erectile dysfunction is not something men give a lot of thought to until it actually happens and, sometimes, it is not preventable. However, there are actions to can take before it becomes a problem.

One of the most important steps you can take to prevent erectile dysfunction is to stop smoking cigarettes or not take up if you haven’t yet. Studies have linked tobacco to erectile dysfunction and the more you smoke, the greater the impact. Tobacco accelerates atherosclerosis, which occurs when cholesterol and other fatty material builds up on the walls of arteries, seriously impeding flow of the blood supply. Since a healthy blood flow in essential for erections, the connection is obvious. Of course this is not the only reason to give up smoking as it poses many other serious health risks.

Regular exercise and a healthy diet are essential for optimum sexual performance. Both of these are helpful in improving blood flow throughout the body. Obesity and diabetes are well established as contributors to erectile dysfunction.

Moderate alcohol intake can be beneficial but excessive alcohol intake can lead to trouble getting or maintaining an erection. This is sometimes called “brewer’s droop.” Alcoholism is also known to increase the likelihood of cardiovascular disease, which in turn leads to erectile dysfunction.

Recreational drug use may also play a part in erectile dysfunction. These include marijuana, cocaine, and heroin to name just three. Some may increase desire and lower inhibitions but all have an impact, to a greater or lesser extent, on performance and lower sperm count.

Psychological factors can cause or exacerbate erectile dysfunction. Depression, stress and anxiety can all make getting or maintaining an erection difficult even when there is no medical cause. That is why emotional and mental health should not be ignored.

Diabetes and Erectile Dysfunction

A number of studies have linked diabetes with erectile dysfunction. According to these studies, anywhere from half to three-quarters of diabetic men will suffer from some degree of erectile dysfunction. There is any number of reasons for this.

Diabetes patients must carefully manage blood sugar levels. High blood sugar can damage nerves and blood vessels. Damage to nerves can result in a loss of sensation. Damage to blood vessels can decrease the flow of blood to the penis. The damage caused by diabetes will not only contribute to erectile dysfunction but can also result in blindness, loss of sensation in the extremities, pain, tingling and deafness. Many diabetics also have high blood pressure, which further exacerbates the problem. Since anything that affects the blood flow may also contribute to erectile dysfunction, many of the drugs prescribed for diabetes and high blood pressure will also have an impact.

Type I diabetes happens when your body does not produce or cannot process insulin at all. Type II diabetes is the most common and happens when your body produces an insufficient amount of insulin or cannot process it correctly.

There is a major rise in obesity rates on the United States, and has been for many years. Naturally, diabetes cases have also risen dramatically. If you are able to control your diabetes with proper diet and regular exercise, there is every reason to believe erectile dysfunction can also be handled in this manner.

Drugs used for the treatment of impotence (Viagra, Cialis, Levitra) have proven effective and relatively safe for men with diabetes. However, it is important to consult with a qualified medical professional before taking any medication.  The combination of discomfort some men have about discussing erectile dysfunction and the ease of obtaining Viagra online may tempt some men to “self-medicate.” This is never a good idea.

The Recreational Use of Viagra

Erectile dysfunction is a medical condition. Viagra is a drug intended to treat that condition. However, many men are taking Viagra recreationally, with no medical need. This can be a risky proposition.

So what are the reasons men take Viagra if they don’t need it? Some Men who do not have a problem with achieving or maintaining and erection have described more rigid erections or more intense orgasms when using Viagra.  Viagra can make an erection easier to maintain. Some men also report a shorter “down time” between erections. Some men take it to counteract the effects of alcohol.  It is unclear just how much this difference is due to a real physiological effect versus a psychological effect.

There are risks to taking Viagra even when under a doctor’s care. Like any drug, Viagra can have side-effects, some of which can be dangerous. Viagra works by increasing blood flow to the penis. Headaches are just one of the milder side-effects. Drugs that effect blood flow often cause or exacerbate high blood pressure. More severe side-effects include strokes and even heart attacks. Abuse of Viagra has led to deaths in some instances.

Viagra can pose serious health risk to people with certain medical conditions, including diabetes, obesity, hearth trouble, hypotension (low blood pressure) and high blood pressure. A doctor’s supervision is vital because unknown health factors greatly increase the risk of serious health problems. There are many people who suffer from high blood pressure, for instance, and are completely unaware of it.

It is also important to consult with a doctor before taking Viagra because it can interact with other drugs in a negative way. For example, anything containing Nitrates. This also includes some recreation drugs, especially Amyl Nitrate, or poppers. The combination of Amyl Nitrate and Viagra can be fatal.

It has a long fight, both in courts of law and the court of public opinion, to get health care insurance plans to cover erectile dysfunction (ED) drugs like Cialis, Levitra, and Viagra. By no means to all plans have this benefit but considerably more than even five years ago. Unfortunately, a combination of increasing health care costs and a bad economy is causing considerable backsliding. There is a mad dash to eliminate anything and everything possible to save money.

Here is just one example. In 2005, the Milwaukee School District removed drug that treat erectile dysfunction in an attempt to reduce costs. According to the district, the estimated savings from this cut is $786,000 per year. Of course, eliminating any drug, service or treatment will save money, so why pick on ED drugs? A representative of the district claimed the drug is just too prone to abuse. Too many patients without a medical need were getting prescriptions and taking ED drugs recreationally.

It is undoubtedly true that the drug is being taken by many men without a medical need. This has been true almost since the day the drug was invented. It is also true that doctors will provide patients prescriptions for medically unnecessary drugs and then bill health care plans. This has been true long before Viagra showed up on the scene. The problem with this stance is that the same thing is true of painkillers. Prescription painkillers are a massive problem in this country but the Milwaukee School District hasn’t suggested making those illegal.

The really issue here is medical necessity. It is much easier to do something passive like denying a benefit than to do something active like verifying medical necessity.

In any case, the Milwaukee School District may not save as much money as they hoped. In 2010, Milwaukee Teachers’ Education Association files a law suit against the district.

Sunglasses are an everyday item that for a lot of people fall into the mantra recited before leaving the house. It goes something like, ‘keys, wallet or purse, cell phone and sunglasses. Not only do shades look cool just about anywhere on anyone, they also provide UV protection, which is important to long term eye care. Sunglasses are one of the few things that can look cool while being functional!

Unfortunately, not every generation seems to have applied the knowledge of what the sun’s rays can do to the eyes. Entire generations of those residing in assisted living facilities have come to need cataract surgery to remove the light blocking film which begins to cloud the eye, blocking the entrance of light. This blockage eventually leads to blindness, and surgery is the ultimate solution to retain eyesight. The strange thing about the process is that a cataract surgery patient ends up wearing sunglasses, and quite unfashionable ones at that, following their surgery! This it why it really doesn’t make sense to not wear sunglasses regularly if one lives in a typically sunny place, where the cloud cover is minimal and UV exposure is at its maximum. There is, for example, a lower instance of cataract surgeries being done in the rainy United Kingdom than in the sunny reaches of Florida.

So while some people may be under the impression that sunglasses are just for a hip younger crowd, the fact is that sunglasses really belong as a key staple in everyone’s wardrobe. They’re as important for everyday daily wear as helmets are for motorcyclists or seat belts for drag racers. Using protective devices is important when one desires to enjoy the full use of all of their faculties well into their advanced age. Even using an inexpensive pair of sunglasses rated UV 100 will extend one’s eyesight for years over having no eye protection.

Sexual Issues: problems and their causes

Sexual issues or dysfunctions or problems generally refer to the issues during any part of sexual response cycle. These sexual issues affect the satisfaction of any individual or couple. Physical or psychological both are responsible for causing sexual problems. The stress and depression prevailing in the minds also causes many problems and both men and women are affected from it.

The married ones or mature ones are not the only one dealing with their sexual problems, the teenagers now a days can also seen with lots or pressures and depressions and this will lead them to sexual disorders. Don’t Let Spam Fool You

Erectile Dysfunction (ED) has been defined as the “abnormal physical or psychological state of a male characterized by inability to engage in sexual intercourse because of failure to have or maintain an erection”. Is it surprising that men dread at loss of their virility and libido? Certainly not! Statistics show that ED is more rampant than ever. The reasons for this increasing problem are multi-faceted. Though it might be difficult to say exactly what the cause of ED is, one can emphatically say it is a natural occurrence that may transpire due to physical or psychological issues and that it is not a man’s”liability” if he suffers from ED.

Men all over the world are flooded with emails and information about ED. With subject lines like “You better use it or you WILL lose it!” and “Keep it up all night long with our latest product”, it is not surprising that most of the information filtering through to people is either completely misleading or woefully inadequate. Continual spam that floods your inbox also tends to trivialize the important issue of erectile dysfunction. Adequate and correct information needs to be available to everyone so as to understand the matter. Understanding the causes of ED is the first step to treatment.

Along with incessant and largely nonsense spam, there are also a list of fake cures that flood the market and your mailboxes. These miracle cures, at best, make no difference at all and at worse, affect the situation drastically. Examples of such “miracle cure” are creams and lotions available for purchase on the internet that lay false and hyperbolic claims to erections that last 72 hours and more! Not only do they offer money back guarantees but they also ensure anonymity, which is what attracts most customers. Self medication is dangerous under any circumstances. These lotions are not approved by deemed doctors and may cause skin problems and lead to further disorders. With the incredible support systems that are established now, there is no need to think of ED as a stigma. Proper help and treatment is not far away.

A Little about ED

Erectile dysfunction can be regarded as the recurrent or consistent inability in men to attain and /or maintain proper penile erection required for sex. It is estimated that 152 million men in the world, which is about 16 percent of the entire male population aged between 20 and 75 experience this difficulty. By 2025 this number is expected to go up to 322 million. Although the problem of erectile dysfunction is widespread, majority of men affected by ED do not pursue appropriate treatments. Erectile dysfunction is also considered to be one of the first caution signals for future cardiovascular problems, hence it’s important to get treated at the right time.
